LEANDER Gaston Claes VYVEY
Leander was born on the 21st of December in Gent, Belgium. He was the first child of Jan Vyvey and Chantal Claes.
Leander has always been a very energetic, inquisitive boy.
Through his dad, Leander got to know watersports and started very soon sailing. Later he discovered surfing and was one of the first youngsters starting kitesurfing at his local surfspot called Windekind "Child of the Wind".
He started on a foil kite and handles.
It was in the winter of 2006 that JN kites noticed this talented boy.
Now in 08 Leander is riding as professional rider for the JN company.

Why kiting:
It’s a passion and my way of freedom.
I’m riding and forget about everything. Feels like I’m in another world.
I can express my feelings and my frustrations on the water , flying.  The more I kite, the more I feel like living.

A dolphin

Smile.

The most wonderful experience:
