news 30_10 Morroco KPWTThe last stop of the KPWT world cup will soon take place in the bay of Essaouira, a village on the Atlantic see of North Africa, in Morocco.Essaouira is very popular for windsurfing, because of the strong wind and big waves. Kitesurfing here on the other hand feels kind of a challange to me. The wind is extremely gusty as it comes from over the big buildings and the strength variates between 16 and 40 knots. Satellite shot, the bay of Essaouira I tried to ride the exact place of where the freestyle competition will take place and this conditions are with no doubt the most difficult ones I have ever ridden. In 30 minutes I was able to land 4 trick, which means that would make an average of even less than one trick in a 7minutes heat! Today the training was already a little bit better, but I still wonder how the competition will exactly take place in such a wind. Apart from that I really like Morocco, the village Essaouira is nice and the people are very friendly and positive minded.
